New website!
It is online!
After a few months of support and teamwork with Lucas and Nicolas from EDDA vision*, I am proud to present my new website. We have decided to create a “showcase” site meaning a site that gather every information you need to contact me and work with me. It has my portfolio, my services and my late news.
Why should I need a website?
Extend my possibilities. Here, I speak for myself. A site allows an online presence and a link to a professional portfolio. For now, I have the chance to work by word of mouth. I live relatively in the mountains and in a small town, so news travel fast. I had the opportunity to exhibit my drawings at my day job and that gave me actual creative commissions.
Clients contacted me on Instagram or directly at my work. Althought I believe it is the sweetest way to begin to work as an illustrator, I did not have the possibility to canvass professional clients using an online portfolio (well… I thought giving my instagram link was not serious enough…better that than nothing, actually…)
I am now able to reach an other category of clients, older perhaps, that do not have instagram or social media for instance. Also, I am able to extend worldwide as I asked EDDA to translate the whole site in english. I intend to live in an english speaking country (New Zealand in fact) next year so… Hi there!

Investment is not free
Creating a professional website has a price, obviously the goal is that it pays for itself at the end. I am gaining visibility and a more professional image for future projects. By doing that, I accept long term investment as the site will evolve. Creation costed about 3200⏠including taxes and I took a maintenance service for 70⏠per month including taxes. I am not including here website hosting.
Looking back at all the work, the atmosphere during our exchanges and after comparing with some website creators, I will be happy to renew the experience and the money and time I invested.
